Our Client
Our client was an experienced asset management, property management, and corporate operations executive with 20 years of private and public company experience as a Chief Operating Officer and Executive Asset Manager. He was looking to transition from an owner-occupied portfolio back to a large, real estate investment and development company. He was seeking a position as a CEO, CAO, or Head of Operations. One of the additional challenges he presented was that his experience was primarily in the office asset class which was suffering a market downturn. In addition, our client was employed and therefore needed to keep his search confidential.
Our Solution
- We began our 90-day marketing program by assigning him an experienced and dedicated Consultant and Researcher. Together they mapped out a detailed action plan.
- Our client’s current resume pigeonholed him as a property manager, so we redesigned his resume to accurately reflect the depth and breadth of his experience and expertise. His new resume reflected his achievements in special projects, portfolio performance and corporate performance. We also perfected his online presence to align with his new resume.
- We then marketed him to hundreds of firms and recruiters nationally which met all of his requirements. Because he was still employed, we used proven techniques which afforded him a high degree of confidentiality while not compromising his search.
- Our client received extensive one-on one interview coaching, so he was able to clearly communicate his broad skillset on the many interviews he received.
Success
Our proven 20/20 Foresight Executive Marketing process yielded 61 job inquiries, 39 interviews and 2 offers. Our client ultimately accepted a position as a Chief Operating Officer with a prominent, vertically integrated development company specializing in mixed use, multifamily, office, and large-scale urban development. Although he was willing to relocate, this firm was based where our client currently lived, allowing him to stay in the Northeast. A win-win!
